This will mark the third attempt at a television series based on the world of Cruel Intentions (1999)
Scenario
After being bullied at their elite college, half-siblings Caroline and Lucien try to maintain their power and reputation by seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. The direct-to-video sequel Cruel Intentions 2 (2000), starring Amy Adams as Kathryn Merteuil, was originally a scripted TV series before being re-edited into a feature film. Gellar would later reprise her role as Kathryn in 2016 for the NBC pilot Cruel Intentions (2016), which was not ordered to series.

The worst guy playing Lucien
Why would girls find him attractive? He looks 14 years old and is neither kind nor honest. In the scene where he catches the attention of the VP’s daughter, he looks like a kid trying to look like Ferris Bueller.
There are some good characters, but not enough to keep you watching
I miss the days when a movie or series didn’t intentionally try to cover all of its bases by including every social demographic and sexual preference. Or at least do it in a way that doesn’t come across as forced. Maybe they should have visited a few colleges to get some perspective.
